Hormonal Decline – Entropy and Aging

Our course of life can be described as continuous cycles in a spiral path, which seem to continue forever.

All living organisms are Energy Consumption “Units”. That means that all organisms lose (consume) energy to live.

The second Fundamental Law of Thermodynamics describes the process of energy dispersion (consumption) as its transfer, away from the point of our Physical Equilibrium, which to us humans is around the age of 26 years. When the levels of GrowthHormone, Estrogen, Progesterone and many of our other Hormones start to decrease.

These cycles of information and energy transfer are limited as we grow older and “run out” of Hormones. This dispersion of energy is called Entropy.

Entropy is essentially the movement of an organism from Order to Ataxia (Chaos).

The human body or a single cell, will move spontaneously in the direction of ever-increasing Entropy, namely of deregulation and disorganization as time gradually shifts from the point of our Physical Equilibrium. With increasingly less Hormones available, our body, in order to be able to reorganize its vital functions, slides into an ever-increasing state of Ataxia – Chaos.

Aging, then, is a human experience, associated with the increase of Cellular Entropy.

The perpetual (continuous) cycles in the “spiral” of our lives that we mentioned above, are getting smaller as we get older. Women experience shorter and more frequent menstrual cycles which later become thinner and longer, as they approach Menopause.

For this simple reason, they no longer have Estrogen and cease to be Fertile. So without the ability to have in their blood, every month, a peak of Estrogen, their Brain stops sending the command for Ovulation or extends it for the next cycle.

This state of deficiency leaves women without Progesterone, which would be secreted from the periphery of the ovum (“from the egg shell”).

However, progesterone’s main action is to regulate the genes that are responsible for all female cells, so as to grow, differentiate or die.

Progesterone is thus one of the main Regulatory Hormones.

Without its own circularity and the correct levels in the female body, women get “out of control”, at a cellular level.

This complicated procedure can signal the beginning of Aging, the onset of Diseases and essentially, the beginning of a decline in Health.
